For today’s post we head to our neighbours, Scotland as travel photographer guapa_fede takes us around the beautiful countryside.
America has the Route 66, Scotland has the North Coast 500. Me and my husband drove along the North Coast 500 and the Isle of Skye in the middle of July.
Scotland is really one of those lands where you can find four seasons in one day, after every turn you simply don’t know what comes next in terms of weather, and you can also find sheep wandering peacefully in the middle of the road!
It’s the land of colors! This is such a great thing, because you can stare at the same scenery with many different colors. The ocean is impressive, in particular where it insinuates beneath the western fjords near Applecross: here you can see it in a “tiffany” color that becomes a very intense blue in just a few miles
The blue matches perfectly with the brilliant green of the hills, and during the sunset the sky becomes red, reflecting on the water all the nuances and the clouds’ games. If you are a petrolhead this is the perfect place for you. You can test your driving skills climbing the Applecross pass – Bealach na Ba’ – and you can enjoy your ride for miles without meeting anyone.
What is your favourite place to have a cup of tea? #teawithaview
Our favourite place to drink tea is on the bench outside the lovely ‘The Tide’ b&b, staring at the marvellous show of the sunset that lasts till midnight.
