Today we head back to Hong Kong III, for a different perspective around this fascinating City by genefever
Hong Kong holds a special place in my heart. I associate this place with freedom and adventure. In a day, you can immerse yourself with the locals and experience a traditional way of life that is humbling. The next day, you can lose yourself in the maze that is Hong Kong Island and soak up the dynamic energy of this buzzing city. You have many activities to do in Hong Kong, there’s always something new to try. Hong Kong is a bazaar of cultures and it is this place where I feel truly independent.
I never knew of this place until I came across a picture of Victoria Peak during my second year of college. I’ve heard of Hong Kong before but never put two and two together until then. When I saw the densely packed, glimmering skyline, I knew I had to get my butt over there. I googled a few more pictures and couldn’t believe what I was seeing: the glamorous cityscape, the bustling night markets, the paradise-like nature that encompasses the city – it all added to the vibrancy and mysteriousness of this place. I was fortunate to study abroad in Hong Kong the next college semester and see for myself what this place was about.
What is your favourite place to have a cup of tea? #teawithaview
My favorite place to enjoy a cup of tea would be on a tall rooftop overlooking Hong Kong. I want to watch the city light up as the sun sets while drinking a yerba mate and white tea blend.
