For today’s blog we are taken to the “capital of the alps” Innsbruck Tyrol Austria, by creative photographer leschless.
Its great to live in a small city (131.000 residents) Innsbruck is compact, surrounded by Alpine giants, Alpine-urban sports and it is dynamic, cosmopolitan, yet charming, strong and traditional.
Mountains – City – Mountains.
That’s what you’ll get. The town has that great intimate feel with Austrian architecture that is so well-maintained you feel like you are in a giant outdoor museum. Its easy to move upwards with many cable cars from 574m above sea level to 2,269m above sea level. The city is very modern, high tech and super fast. (for example, the Nordkettenbahnen). It is a great place to take great photos – of the ranges, the alps and the town of Innsbruck in the valleys are very scenic. Innsbruck is as beautiful from above as it is from within.
The Innsbruck Altstadt (Old Town) is so charming and trust me when I say that you don’t want to miss it. In December Innsbruck Altstadt has a Christmas Market with mulled wine and other traditional treats. The area is perfect for walking and exploring! Grab a tea or coffee whilst enjoy looking at all the sights and feel the wings of history.
