For today’s post we head down under to Whitsundays coast – Queensland Australia where tulip.xo takes us around the beautiful Great Barrier Reef.

I always like to plan short getaways to rewind and unwind from everyday life and a three day vacay is all I needed to explore the magical Whitsundays coast. Located on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef, there are 74 beautiful islands that make up the Whitsundays.

The highlight of my trip would have to be the scenic flight over the exquisite Heart reef, a naturally formed heart shaped reef located in Hardy reef of the Great Barrier Reef. The colour of the corals and enormity of the vast reef landscape is unlike anything I have ever seen. Tropical 26 degrees, whitest sands, clear turquoise water and just 3hours flight from home, yes definitely coming back here again!

My favourite place to enjoy a cup of tea would have to be amongst the pristine white sands and aquamarine waters of the Whitehaven beach.
